Community Survey
From now through the end of October, the community survey is open. This is an important point of feedback to help develop a plan for the Mechanicsville neighborhood. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts and ideas about Mechanicsville by clicking the link below.
Public Workshops
In September and October, a series of three community workshops will be held to identify potential improvements within the Mechanicsville neighborhood. Stay tuned, or sign up for email updates, to participate!
The first workshop was held on Thursday, September 25th. The workshop took place from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the High Street Baptist Church. Thanks to all who came by to share your ideas on how to further improve the area. If you missed the workshop, you can view the presentation here.
The second workshop was held on Saturday, October 18th. We had stations set up at the Farmer's Market and Link's Coffee from 7:00am to 12pm. Thank you to the 150 people (or so) that stopped by to share your input! If you missed us, you can view the materials which were shared here.
To finish off the public workshop phase of the project, we held a block party at 200 N Union Street on Saturday, November 15th. The street was closed off from vehicles and in addition to opportunities to share feedback on draft recommendations, there was food, fun, and beverages. Thank you to the more than 250 attendees who participated! If you missed the block party, you can view the boards which were shared here.
